  • What did you do this past week?
This week I finished the project in my cs371p class. I was working with a partner which was extremely beneficial because there were a lot less bug appearances, as well as new ideas because of a second input. I also finished a project in my cs373 class in which I implemented site wide searching. I ran into issues as well on this project, but I was able to receive help from my team, making me realize again the benefits of working with others.
  • What’s in your way?
Nothing as major as last week was in my way this week. The same issues of having to deal with quarantine and online learning still pose problems, but I am doing much better than I did before.
  • What will you do next week?
This next week I will continue to do work for my classes. It is nice because school is nearing its end, and I have only one more project to do in my cs373 class and cs371p class. I say project for my cs373 class, but it is more really part of the project.
  • If you read it, what did you think of the More getters and setters?
Just like last week, I believe it is a good programming strategy. I am not good at programming so I can’t say for sure, but it seems to be good practice. It will be difficult to put into practice though because building new habits is always a challenge. When you program, it is hard to remember to keep it in mind, and when I start programming, I just jump straight into it.
  • What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)
I have touched upon it very lightly in the past, so I don’t have much experience. I have been primarily focusing on the front end during this project, rather than the back end.
  • What made you happy this week?
I have been reading some webtoons recently and they are extremely good. The ones I have been reading are related to martial arts, and I never really knew how cool it was. They center a lot around “cultivation” which I have never really heard of until I started reading, but it seems crazy.
  • What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
A webtoon I would recommend is “Tale of a scribe who retires to the country side”.
