  1. What did you do this past week?
This week, I looked over the assignment and what was require for it, but I have been preoccupied with interview preparation and job applications, so I haven’t gotten started much yet.
  2. What’s in your way?
I have not encountered problems yet so far, but I believe that I will come across a few soon. The only thing that may be in my way would be a bit of a time crunch.
  3. What will you do next week?
I will focus on finishing up Collatz, and then finish another assignment for my Networking class. I will also
  4. If you read it, what did you think of the Continuous Integration?
I found it really interesting. This article was written in 2006, meaning that it was 15 years ago. At that time, it seemed like a novel idea, however this seems like a standard practice today. Whether or not everyone follows this practice is a different story that I don’t know. However, when I worked in the group in the past, we would try to maintain this practice to avoid merge conflicts. I believe Github is the most well known service that is used for Continuous Integration. I believe that I should start doing more version control myself on both personal projects and class projects.
  5. What was your experience of Collatz? (this question will vary, week to week)
Not much so far, because I haven’t gotten far in it.
  6. What was your experience of exceptions? (this question will vary, week to week)
I have experienced a lot of exceptions while programming, more so than errors. The exceptions I am talking about are programming exceptions, and they usually arise to careless mistake, rather than design flaws. For me, they are usually null pointer exceptions, and sometimes arithmetic exceptions.
  7. What made you happy this week?
I tried hot sauce for the first time, and now I am putting it on a lot of foods. Before, scrambled eggs used to be pretty bland and boring, but now with hot sauce, I can eat them without any sides if I wanted to.
  8. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
You can buy drink heaters that constantly keep your drink warm. I have one, and it works like a coaster. I used it this winter to keep my hot chocolate warm.
